Drink Review: Lapu Lapu

Rickey Knows He’s A Sucker, But He Just Can’t Hate It

Sights: You’ll have to pry this hollowed out pineapple from Rickey’s cold, dead glove.

Smells: It’s almost all Goslings 151, which is deceivingly boozy.

Tastes: Full disclosure, it’s not ideal. It might not even be good. Before you stir in the Goslings 151, it’s reminiscent of SunnyD mixed with rum from your dad’s liquor cabinet (Rickey’s generation will know). After you booze it up a bit, it’s more palatable. However, there are no surprises here. The Lapu Lapu is a sugar bomb with decent rum.

Feels: Juice.

Rick’s Tricks: You can get it in a regular glass, but why?

Overall: It’s exactly what you’d expect from a drink served in a pineapple at Disney World.
