Drink Review: Frozen Rum (or Whiskey) & Coke

Rating

Forget It, Just GET IT

Sights: Well, it’s a nondescript brownish slush. Not overly impressive. But you probably won’t be looking at it for very long, because you’ll just want to drink it.

Smells: Coke? Whiskey and/or rum? No surprises here.

Tastes: Ok, there is nothing special or terribly thoughtful happening with these cocktails. They are just frozen coke slushes topped with alcohol. But, y’all, this is what Rickey likes to call a shame bang. You cannot go on mixology forums and brag about barrel aging or shrubs (or whatever cocktail nerds do). But it won’t matter, because you will be ENJOYING YOURSELF. And that’s what it’s all about, is Rickey right?

Feels: They have the perfect slushy consistency, which is a genuine Disney speciality. Disney doesn’t get everything right when it comes to cocktails, but they generally know how to use frozen beverage machines. Good job, Disney!

Rick’s Tricks: Give them a good stir before imbibing. Not only will you want to make sure that the alcohol is properly mixed, you’ll want to remedy some separation that naturally occurs.

Overall: Forget it, just GET IT.
