When Rickey tastes cocktails and spirits, he likes to make the best use of his rodent senses. And while he recognizes that everyone has different tastes, he tries to be as objective as possible. Here’s how he does it:
Sights: Rickey is a sucker for flair. Even a nasty drink will get some points for looking extra cool.
Smells: Some are fruity, some floral and some smell like straight up hot garbage. If it smells good enough to drink, it passes the test.
Tastes: While balance is not something Rickey practices in his personal life, he wants it in his drinks. He can tell you if a drink is too sweet, too bitter too boozy, or just right.
Feels: Heavy, light, viscous or, god forbid, gritty, Rickey will report the mouthfeel so you can have the best cocktail experience possible.
