Drink Review: Lavender Fog

Rating

Rickey Spills The Tea: And He Likes it!

Sights: Pinky up! This one’s for fancy folks. It was creamy, grayish-purple and SO beautiful (until Rickey tried to pick his teeth with the lavender sprig).

Smells: You’d think it would be all lavender, but Rickey detected some delightful vanilla notes in there too. Happy rodent nose!

Tastes: It’s super close to being 4 ChEARS. It starts with cream and honey (so no complaints there). It dries out with the gin in the middle and finishes with earthy notes from the tea. That said, Rickey LIKES his herbal substances (shocker) and he wishes there was more tea. He’s also puzzled by the English Breakfast choice when Earl Grey is traditional in a London Fog. Rickey lives much of his life in a fog, so he should know.

Feels: It’s fine, but a little thin for Rickey’s taste. They probably need to do a hard, dry shake before the full on wet shake to cream it up a bit. (Rickey is positively BLUSHING with all this innuendo).

Rick’s Tricks: They seem to frown on people trying to floss with the garnishes, so try to resist.

Overall: It’s maybe a bit sweeter and less herbal than Rickey would like. It’s also a tad thin. But the Lavender Fog is beautiful, creamy and mega enjoyable for such a highfalutin libation.
