Note: Le Geant Slush is actually just a super powered version of either the Orange or the Citron Slush. For $5 more you can add an extra shot of Gran Marnier or Grey Goose Citron. Rickey can’t resist a boozy super charge so the Geant Slush (with extra vodka) is his go-to.

Sights: Rickey doesn’t really remember the 90’s too well, but if he did, he’d probably feel nostalgic looking at these retro style, plastic cocktail glasses. And then he’d cry into his slush because this author just referred to something 90’s as retro. But all in all, this is a lovely presentation for a drink in a plastic cup.

Smells: Unlike most slushes, this one does have a scent. For both the Orange and Citron slushes there is a noticeable citrus on the nose.

Tastes: Rickey almost always gets the orange version of the slush. It tastes like a creamsicle, with just the faintest bitter aftertaste from the orange vodka. And while it is sweet, the alcohol is definitely there. If you prefer a bitter lemon flavor, get the Citron. Both are good, but the general consensus amongst Team Rickey is that the Orange Geant Slush reigns supreme.

Feels: Well blended and easy to drink. Everything you look for in a slush.

Rick’s Tricks: It’s tricky to stir the extra liquor in without launching slush all over creation. But find a way, you must, or else you’re stuck with a full shot of booze on the top. And definitely grab a hefty wad of napkins for clean up.

Overall: Some have snobbishly deemed the slushes in France “pedestrian”. This is probably because literally every person in the world loves them. Ask your grandma, your 2nd grade teacher, or the guy that spins the sign outside the local barbershop. They all love it. And while it might not be cool to jump on bandwagons, you’ll want to join your grandma on this one.
