Some People Like It…
Sights: Uh…Tropical fruit juice on ice. Very reminiscent of a sad, semi-warm, diluted airplane OJ.
Smells: Again, juice, And some peach. Nothing shocking.
Tastes: It not terrible in the same way that fruit juice and vodka will always kind of do in a pinch (e.g. if you’re moving house and it’s all you have left in the back of your fridge). However, you aren’t really IN a pinch at Dawa Bar, since you could always just spend your $15 on pretty much anything else.
That said, the Tusker’s Jungle Juice is a delicious combo of passion fruit, orange and guava (POG) and the peach schnapps is not totally offensive. The vodka just adds booze and leaves that telltale burning sensation in the back of your throat, as vodka is wont to do. Again, It’s not the worst drink ever, but it’s also just, like, not good.
Feels: Watered down juice.
Rick’s Tricks: They used to make this drink with rum instead of vodka, which sounds objectively more delicious. However, they’ve already pre-mixed the concoction so you’re out of luck with substitutions. So, we suppose this is less of a “trick” and more of a woe-is-Rick sort of moment.
Oh, and the real pro-tip is to just get the Bloody Mary instead, which is exceptional due to special sauce.
Overall: Meh. Some people like it, but only because it’s remarkably unoffensive and packs zero surprises. So if you like playing it safe, this one probably won’t kill you.
