Rickey Needs A Sippy Cup Of Whiskey… He’s FUSSY About This Drink.
Sights: Astounding innovations abound! Who would ever think to float coffee beans, in a vague Mickey shape, on an espresso martini?! Rickey’s floored (And probably needs a nap. Stop being so crabby Rickey!).
Smells: Have you ever smelled the burned remnants at the bottom of your coffee pot…?
Tastes: It’s honestly not terrible (but, again, Rickey’s clearly got fussy pants on). It’s just soooo hard to truly LOVE one of these caffeine laced monstrosities because they are everywhere these days (and usually WHACK).
However, this one has some merits. The coffee tastes like slightly burnt Joffrey’s (not overly offensive, but also not super palatable). What redeems this cocktail are the detectable hints of vanilla and chocolate from the flavored vodka and the creme de cacao. The bartenders have done their best to balance these flavors well and it works better than most espresso martinis.
(Also, please note, this is one of the ONLY times Rickey will declare flavored vodka redeemable in a serious way).
Feels: It’s a bit thin when it seems like it should be creamier.
Rick’s Tricks: If you want the BEST espresso martini at Disney, go to Wine Bar George at Disney Springs and get the Wake Up Call. And in the meantime, order the Lavender Fog or an Old Fashioned at Enchanted Rose.
Overall: Again, someone needs to give Rickey a nip of gin and a cozy place to nap, because he is GRUMPY about this cocktail. Really and truly, of you like an espresso martini, you will definitely like this one. And NO JUDGEMENT. Rickey loves to do speed racers of Vodka Red Bulls on his night’s out, so he’s no purist.
