Drink Review: Jedi Mind Trick

Rating

Rickey’s Friend Really Likes It

Sights: Ah, BLUE, the signature Disney World drink hue. The basic Blue Curacao over ice thing puts Rickey right to sleep (and this isn’t even one of his designated nap spots).

Smells: Now, the nose perked Rickey up a bit. It’s bittersweet grapefruit with a touch of white grape. Smells drinkable.

Tastes: If you like fruits with “grape” in the name, this might be your thing. Just like the nose, the taste is heavy on the grapefruit and white grape juice, with a slight bitterness balancing the sweetness. The ingredients lists falernum, but it seems absent here. Rickey also failed to taste the “rose” from the rose vodka. The finish is hot, tasteless alcohol with a touch of sweetness from the juice.

Feels: Light but not too watery. Refreshing.

Overall: Full disclosure: One of Rickey’s friends loves this drink the very most. It’s not terribly complex or interesting, but it’s somewhat well balanced. If you like grapefruit and grape juice, go for it. Rickey’d give it a slightly higher rating if it looked a bit cooler.
