Sweet and Fruity with a Serious Punch
Sights: Rickey, like the rest of the Mouse family, wears inexplicably thick gloves. For that reason, Rickey really loves the way the hefty glassware feels in his big mitts. He’s also a fan of boozy, festive cocktails so he digs the Gosling’s 151 float and the pineapple garnish.
Smells: At first Rickey just got a shot of rum straight up his nostril hole. It’s not the worst thing that’s ever happened to Rickey, but he preferred the juicier whiff he got after stirring in the Gosling’s.
Tastes: This drink is basically Nomad Lounge’s riff on a rum punch, and y’all, it works. All the rums are present but smoothed out by the guava, orange and lime. It’s relatively complex because all of those delicious flavors play out and evolve with each sip. It’s sweet but not overly cloying. It keeps Rickey going back for more.
Feels: The drink is juicy and thicker than it looks, probably due to the guava puree. It’s not as acidic as Rickey expected with the counterbalanced sweetness.
Rick’s Tricks: After your photo ops, stir in the Gosling’s 151 float to really balance out the drink.
Overall: Rickey likes a tropical-esque cocktail that also knocks him silly with rum. If that sounds like your bag, the Lamu Libation is for you.
