Drink Review: The Outer Rim

Rating

Rick’s Top Pick at Oga’s!

Sights: The exotic fruit puree looks a bit like pump cheese. But Rickey’s not mad about it. Plastic

Smells: Exotic and punchy- Just like Rick

Tastes: You wouldn’t know it from the smell, but this drink packs a punch. Once you cut through the puree, it’s got a dry, tequila forward palate. It’s well balanced with tart pomegranate and lime, and smoothed out with the sweet puree and sugar. The Black Salt rim is a nice, savory touch.

Feels: Medium to light without the puree. Once mixed in, the puree gives it an interesting depth.

Rick’s Tricks: Stir in the the puree before drinking for a well balanced flavor.

Overall: This drink works on all levels. It has the building blocks of a margarita but takes it up a notch with the exotic fruit puree and the aesthetics. If you want a unique take on a classic, this drink is for you. Well done, Oga!
