Drink Review: Rum Blossom

Rating

No Shame, Only Bang

Sights: Disney, thank you. This is EXACTLY what Rickey is looking for in a theme park cocktail. Its bright! It’s colorful! It’s layered! It has balls!

Smells: Nothing in particular.

Tastes: This drink looks like it should be relatively unpalatable but it’s NOT. It’s sweet, to be sure, but the sugar is offset by the sour limeade. Apple and pear flavors are prominent, but not overpowering. You also have a bit of control over the sweetness, as it’s your call to pop balls in your mouth or not. The super official and highly qualified panel assembled by Rickey decided that it tastes like gummy Peachie-O’s.

Feels: Rickey’s said it before and he’ll say it again: Disney does frozen drinks well.

Rick’s Tricks: They pour all that Bacardi directly on top of the Night Blossom (i.e. the non-alcoholic version). Therefore, you must mix the rum in which, sadly, ruins the aesthetic. Maybe experiment with having them booze it up mid-layer? But be sure and tip extra, cause cast members don’t have time for extraneous tomfoolery.

Bonus Pro Tip: Pongu Pongu opens at 7:30AM if you’re into drinking at sunrise.

Overall: Definitely get your Peachie-O on with this shame bang.
