Salt Foam Party!
Rickey rarely reviews a drink the day after he’s tried it, but this morning he stumbled out of bed insisting we sing the praises of the Salt Foam Margarita immediately. Well, you’re our main mouse, Rickey! We’ll do anything for you.
Sights: The drink is a pretty basic, classic marg style, but the foam makes it interesting. It’s as light and floaty as Rickey’s mom was for most of the 70’s.
Smells: Orange, tequila and lime (yum!). It’s an awesome feat for it to have such a prominent nose through all that foam.
Tastes: What makes this drink special is how basic and simple it is. It’s a classic, well balanced sour, but with pizazz! The foam functions in the same way as a salt rim, but you won’t end up with crusty lips after (this is totally relatable, right?). It also helps balance the drink with the savory elements, but it’s subtle.
Feels: Light and refreshing like a marg, but with pillowy salt clouds added to the mix.
Rick’s Tricks: At Jaleo it’s absolutely encouraged to belly up to the bar just to order a drink. Do yourself a favor and chat up the bartenders. From Rickey’s experience, they really know their stuff!
Overall: This is the closest to 5 ChEARS that any drink has ever come. Rickey’s not stingy with his ChEARS because this is Disney (not some highfalutin New York cocktail bar). But he’s always hesitant to give anything full marks. In other words, this drink is a must do at Disney Springs.
