Rickey’s Favorite Way To Harness Omega 3’s
As you probably guessed, Rickey is somewhat of a health and nutrition nut. But he’s also efficient: why dirty more dishes when you can have your food AND drink all in one? Enter La Cava Avocado.
Sights: As for sights, liquified avocado is just not the prettiest visual. There’s not much you can do about that.
Smells: Once you get past the rather unappetizing color of the drink, it’s all uphill from there! The nose is not strong but that could be due to the fact that avocados are relatively odorless. That said, there is a bit of melon in there (but no tequila).
Tastes: This drink warrants a bit of a warning for those expecting something very avocadoey. It’s actually more of a melon flavored margarita with the avo playing a supporting role. This means that you must like melon to enjoy this cocktail. The avocado is there, but it really just adds a vegetal or grassy element. It’s also very hard to detect the tequila, which could be a good thing depending on your tolerance for booze flavors.
Feels: Creamy is a weird word to use for a cocktail that has no cream, but the avocado makes it so. However, they blend it very well so while it’s technically frozen, it’s not overly thick.
Rick’s Tricks: Get some of that hibiscus salt in your sip if you want the best experience. The salt helps balance the sweetness of the melon.
Overall: This drink is both confusing and a crowd pleaser. Nearly everyone is skeptical at first (for good reason). But in the end they come away sort of puzzled by how much they like it.
