NOPE
Sights: It’s relatively inoffensive looking with the nice glassware and the orange peel (though it’s oddly cloudy). At first sight, Rickey felt some hope that it would be boozy and balanced.
Smells: Well, okay. It smells like straight ginger beer. Not a good sign.
Tastes: Have you ever reveled in your own genius at 4AM as you concocted a shot out of what’s left at a house party? If so, Rickey imagines it tasted a bit like this. It’s almost entirely ginger beer but with a hint of unnecessary sweetness from the apricot brandy and the apple syrup. For being served up, and with such a small pour, it’s tragic how little of the Yak & Yeti Woodford Reserve comes through here. This is an outright assault on good bourbon. In other words, your 4AM shot tasted like straight ass.
Feels: It’s…kind of…WARM? And only slightly fizzy. And weird. And sad. Oh, so sad.
Rick’s Tricks: Don’t do it. Just get the Yak & Yeti’s Woodford Reserve Bourbon served neat instead.
Overall: The Snap Decision at Yak & Yeti is a $14 bad time. (Dumplings were fire though).
