It Checks all of Rickey’s Boxes
Sights: This drink reminds Rickey of one of his better psychedelic trips. Swirly, glittery, fizzy and smoky with a rich, velvety color. And the glass is literally cool due to dry ice at the bottom. Top marks for visuals.
Smells: Pomegranate and cranberry pop right out of the glass. Smells intriguing, but the rum is absent.
Tastes: If Rickey’s honest, he’ll admit that the flavor of this drink is a bit simple. It’s one note, meaning it doesn’t really evolve. However, it is sweet but not cloying. The sweetness is offset by the tartness from the pomegranate and yuzu. It’s also well balanced with a slight pop of flavor at the end. It’s not overly boozy, but the Bacardi is there.
Feels: The name doesn’t lie. It’s fizzy, fun and Rickey totally digs it.
Rick’s Tricks: Wait a few minutes to sniff and taste this drink or you’ll get a shot of fizz right up your snoot.
Overall: While this might not be the most complex drink at Oga’s, it’s a blast to look at and drink.
